I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at The University of Minnesota. This comprehensive program equips me with a strong foundation in the core principles of Software Engineer, preparing me to tackle the challenges and opportunities in these rapidly evolving fields.
In American Express I developed a proof of concept (POC) using Apache Camel to streamline input file consumption processes. Additionally, I transformed card cache logic by integrating advanced 36-byte PACE IDs, which significantly enhanced data processing capabilities and improved prepayment file accuracy. To strengthen security and data integrity, I designed and deployed the Hiped decryption utility for handling incoming encrypted card cache data. I also enhanced database functionality by creating tables and integrating them with Apache Cassandra for efficient data management. Furthermore, I engineered automation scripts to streamline submission processing.
I was privileged to be one of 50 interns chosen from a pool of over 2500 applicants to intern on the Microsoft Office 365 team. This incredible opportunity allowed me to delve into the product lifecycle and gain hands-on training in both software engineering and product management. During my tenure, I developed a multi-user, internal full-stack web application utilizing technologies such as React, Firebase, Bootstrap, among others. Furthermore, I took the lead in UX/UI design, crafting high-fidelity wireframes using Figma. Actively seeking and implementing user feedback, I ensured that the application offered maximum usability and provided a delightful user experience.
During my time at Sleep Number, I learned the nuances of advanced analytics, leading me to develop a robust integration between Power BI and SQL. This enhanced our data accuracy by a noteworthy 20%, providing invaluable leadership insights. Additionally, my exposure to the company's unique problem-solving methodology taught me the significance of cross-functional collaborations. Building on this knowledge, I identified and rectified process inefficiencies, effectively elevating operational efficiency by 15%, which translated into appreciable time and cost savings.
